The Atlanta Economy – Perspective And Opportunities

Atlanta is a microcosm of the national economy.  We will talk about how the recovery looks from a longer economic perspective and the keys to continued progress.  What are the drivers of our job growth?  Where will new employees be needed and what will be their qualifications?

Tom will help us sift through the noise of headlines and talking heads to better understand the things that are really important to be watching.

Dr. Tom Cunningham is Chief Economist at the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce.  Tom is a regional authority in economic trends and analysis.  He was previously Vice President, Senior Economist and Regional Executive at the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta.  Earlier he was responsible for the research department’s regional, Latin America and finance teams at FRBA.  Tom earned degrees from Columbia University and California State University and completed the Executive Development Program at the Wharton School.
